Vaccination and microchip clinic planned by Animal Protectors
Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will sponsor a vaccination and microchip clinic for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the center parking lot, 730 Church St., New Kensington.
Cost is $15 for a one-year rabies vaccine, $20 for a DHPP 5-in-1 core canine vaccine or 3-in-1 feline vaccine; and $25 for a microchip. Animals must be at least three months old to receive a rabies vaccine. Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash and cats must be in a carrier.
Park your vehicle and bring your pet to the outside clinic. This is not a drive-thru event. Cash only will be accepted. For more information, email jperin@animalprotectors.net.
Summer concert series to feature Bobby Thompson and the Groove
The free Pittsburgh Brewing Co. Thunder Summer Music Series will feature Bobby Thompson and the Groove Thursday at the pavilion at the Syria Shrine Center, 1877 Shriners Way, Harmar.
Concerts start at 7 p.m., rain or shine. Gates open at 6 p.m. There is free parking and food and beverages will be sold. No tailgating or outside food or drinks are permitted. The series continues Thursdays through Oct. 12.
