Tuition assistance offered for nursing students
Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host an informational session about its tuition assistance program with Butler County Community College’s nursing programs from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Concordia at Cabot Haven I dining room, 112 Marwood Road. Use entrance 2.

Student drama workshop to teach audition skills
The Valley High School Drama Club will host a drama audition skills workshop for students in seventh through 12th grade from all school districts at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 in the high school auditorium in New Kensington.

Water quality education program offered at Crooked Creek
Teens are invited to participate in a free youth water quality education and engagement project kickoff planned Nov. 2 at the Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek, 142 Kerr Road, Bethel Township.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. and students in the program will learn about environmental issues that affect their communities. After participating in the half-day educational workshop students will be invited to work on a variety of local and regional projects that can make a difference in the health of our region’s water quality. The program is offered in partnership with the Armstrong Conservation District, the Army Corps of Engineers at Crooked Creek, and Penn State Extension.
