Veterans program scheduled at Mary, Queen of Apostles School
Mary Queen of Apostles School in New Kensington will host a pasta lunch and musical salute to veterans Nov. 12 in the Greenwald school gymnasium, 110 Elmtree Road.
The school will honor all family members and friends who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces. Veterans should arrive by 12:20 p.m. and will eat a pasta lunch with students at 12:30 p.m. A patriotic music program will be afterward.

Bell ringers needed by Salvation Army
The New Kensington Salvation Army is seeking seasonal part-time paid workers and volunteers to help in the annual Red Kettle Campaign.
Required orientation will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the center, 255 Third St. Bring two forms of identification. Applications and paperwork will be completed and reviewed.

Free holiday grief support workshop offered
Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, will host a free holiday grief workshop “Hope and Healing Through the Holidays” for anyone who anyone who has lost a loved one from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 9 at its Middlesex Township office, 116 Browns Hill Road, suite 111.
All ages are welcome. Breakfast will be served. Children will attend breakout sessions with age-appropriate activities and must be accompanied by an adult. Those attending should bring a photograph of their loved one or a memento for a craft project.
