Donations sought for Thanksgiving meal program
The Armstrong County Community Action Partnership is accepting donations for its Thanksgiving turkey program.
The partnership coordinates with KDKA-TV to provide Thanksgiving meals to struggling families in Armstrong County and is totally funded through private donations. For each $40 donation a family will receive a certificate to purchase meat, potatoes, vegetables and bread for their Thanksgiving meal. To donate, mail a check made out to ACCAP to ACCAP Turkey Program, 326 S. Water St., suite 1, Kittanning PA 16201.
Free meal distribution slated at Knead Community Cafe
Knead Community Café will hand out free grab-and-go meals from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the cafe, 1011 Barnes St., New Kensington.
