Poker run to raise money for Rustic Ridge families
The Ride for Rustic Ridge, a poker run in memory of those who lost their lives in the Rustic Ridge house explosion in Plum, will be Sept. 30.
The ride will begin at 3 Rivers Harley Davidson, 1463 Glenn Ave., Shaler, and will end at JB’s Roadside Bar and Grille, 1633 Saxonburg Blvd., West Deer. Check-in will be at 12:30 p.m. and kick stands up will be at 2 p.m.
Cost is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger. There will be a meal afterward with a cash bar, raffles and music. Advance registrations will be accepted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wicked Witches, 919 Freeport Road, Cheswick.
Proceeds will be donated to the families of those who lost their lives in the Plum house explosion.
Riverfront celebration set in Natrona
Friends of the Riverfront in Harrison will celebrate the recent improvements near the river from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Natrona Community Park, 12 River Ave.
Completed projects include the new mosaic riverfront connection along River Road and repaving of Veterans Way. Light refreshments will be served.
TryLife Center plans annual gala fundraiser
The TryLife Center Gala fundraiser will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at Veltre’s Wedding and Event Center, 324 Coxcomb Hill Road, Plum.
