Polyconcept North America, an international business in the Westmoreland County Business and Research Park in Upper Burrell, is donating up to 1% of its March sales revenue to humanitarian relief efforts for Ukrainian refugees.
The main page of the company’s website is promoting its efforts, stating: “We’re proud to support Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war in their country.”
Formerly known locally as Leeds, the Upper Burrell site is the national headquarters for the promotional products supplier.
Polyconcept North America’s European counterpart, PF Concept, operates a plant in Poland with 700 employees. Fifty of those employees are Ukrainian, said Holly Brown, chief revenue officer for Polyconcept.
“In addition to monetary contributions, we have sent over blankets and clothing for women refugees,” she said.
Polyconcept’s CEO Neil Ringel said: “We recognize the plight of the Ukrainian people and are eager to lend our support. Amongst the more than 1 million people already displaced, as well as all those who remain in Ukraine, are the friends and families of our teammates in Eastern Europe. This is our way of showing solidarity.”
Polyconcept stated in a press release that they welcome efforts by their North American distributors and their customers to participate in giving to Ukraine simply through the course of normal business.
Direct financial contributions can be sent to Red Cross Poland, according to the company.
Polyconcept operates Trimark, Leeds, Bullet, JournalBooks and ETS.
