A vehicle struck a tree in the area of 1000 Dime Road in Parks Sunday afternoon injuring the driver and catching a nearby house on fire, according to emergency dispatch.

Multiple fire departments responded to the accident, which was reported at about 2:33 p.m., an Armstrong County dispatch supervisor said.

A natural gas line caught fire and emergency responders kept the fire under control while awaiting gas company personnel to stop the gas feed.

Additional details were not available. Crews still were on the scene around 3:30 p.m.
