Verona police are trying to find Kristafher Fluharty, 35, who reportedly failed to show up to court on drug charges filed in connection with an incident in the borough April 1.

Verona police seek assistance in locating a man who failed to show up for court on drug charges and other crimes.

Kristafher Fluharty, 35, was charged with resisting arrest, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a trespassing incident at the Giant Eagle along Allegheny River Boulevard on April 1.

Police said they found the man at the supermarket late that morning with suspected crack cocaine.

Online court documents indicate he was to have a preliminary hearing before District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca on April 21. An address for Fluharty was not listed in the court papers.

Borough police said Fluharty failed to show up at court and is on the run.

He was described as a white man with dark hair and a goatee.

Fluharty is known to frequent the Pittsburgh area as well as Verona and Penn Hills.

Police said Fluharty is also wanted by law enforcement in Canton, Ohio, for failure to appear in court on assault charges.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Verona police at 412-828-6034.
