The weather couldn’t have been more cooperative for the seasonal opening of Hampton Community Outdoor Pool Complex over Memorial Day weekend.

With the temperature already zooming into the high 80s on the morning of the holiday, a fairly long line of swimmers formed in anticipation of being able to enter. Once inside, they were reassured by a full complemented of lifeguards stationed in strategic positions in case of emergency.

The pool operates from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, unless otherwise noted. The hours are 4 to 8 p.m. during days when Hampton Township School District is in session, with the last day for students scheduled for June 10.

Closings may occur when temperatures fall to below 68 degrees, or because of inclement weather, mechanical failure or other safety factors. Call the pool admission gate for updates at 412-486-8809, ext. 1453.
