Westmoreland County on Wednesday continued to report no new deaths from the coronavirus, but it did see an increase in positive covid-19 cases.

State officials said 432 people had tested positive for the virus as of Wednesday, up one from the 431 reported Tuesday.

Neither the state nor the county coroner reported any new deaths on Wednesday. The state’s death total remained at 38 and the coroner’s death total remained at 32. The coroner’s office hasn’t reported any new deaths since May 7, and said the website will only be updated when a new case is reported to the office.

County Coroner Ken Bacha said those who died include 15 men and 17 women between the ages of 61 and 109, with the average age being 83. All were white.

According to Bacha, 25 of the deaths were confirmed by positive testing while seven were presumed by symptoms and weren’t tested.

Close to 7,600 people in the county have tested negative for the virus.
