27 new covid-19 cases reported in Westmoreland County

The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday reported 27 new covid-19 cases and no additional deaths in Westmoreland County. This brings the countywide case total to 828 and death total to 38.

Of the total cases, 801 are confirmed and 27 are probable.

The department reported 27 new cases Sunday, 30 new cases Saturday and 33 new cases Friday.

In Westmoreland County, 19,599 people have tested negative for the virus.

According to the Department of Health, there are 90,304 cases and 6,754 deaths statewide.

All of Pennsylvania is in the green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan, with Westmoreland switching to green June 5.

Wolf issued a masking order for Pennsylvanians in all public spaces and when social distancing cannot be maintained.
