5 things to do in Westmoreland County this weekend: April 7-9
Hard rock
It’s another rockin’ weekend, thanks to two shows at The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin:
• Beyond Purple, 8 p.m. Friday. The tribute act performs the high-energy hits of Deep Purple and Whitesnake, and their offshoots Dio and Rainbow. A ticket is $27.
• Molly Hatchet, 8 p.m. Saturday. The Southern rockers made it big in the late 1970s with hits like “Flirtin’ With Disaster” and “Dreams I’ll Never See.” Special guest will be Six Gun Sally, playing more Southern rock and hits from the ’70s. A ticket is $49.

Take it easy
Imagine traveling a dark desert highway, with the cool wind in your hair, to hear Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles at 8 p.m. Saturday in The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.
As the longest-running show of its kind, Hotel California is billed as the only act to have received official authorization to perform the Eagles’ catalog of music, including their namesake song and other hits from the Grammy Award-winning group, like “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” “Desperado,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “One of These Nights” and “Life in the Fast Lane.”
