Irwin Christmas cookie tour

Businesses throughout downtown Irwin will be spreading a little Christmas magic with the Irwin Christmas cookie tour this Friday night.

From 5 to 8 p.m., select businesses will have samplings of Christmas cookies for participants to try. The businesses also will highlight their own wares and services with dinner specials and other offers. Music will be performed at several venues, and a horse-drawn carriage will circle the square with complimentary rides.

The Masonic Hall at 417 Main St. also will have cookie decorating for kids. Learn more about the event on Downtown Irwin’s Facebook page at facebook.com/Irwin.Main.Street.

‘Willy Wonka Jr.’

Greensburg Civic Theatre will perform the delicious and delightful musical “Willy Wonka Jr.” this weekend. Adapted from Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book, the show will draw on songs from the 1971 Gene Wilder film and introduce some new ones.

This show is perfect for all ages. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg. Tickets are $15 when purchased in advance and $18 at the door — though availability is not guaranteed.

The bar crawl will begin at 4 p.m. (pregame and registration begins at 3), and the crawl will tour four bars throughout downtown Greensburg before returning to the VFD for postgame food and beverages.

Tickets cost $40 and include pregame and postgame food and drinks, and a beer at each bar. The first person to arrive at each bar also will get a shot. To learn more and get a ticket, visit facebook.com/RotaryofWestmoreland.

Tusk: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute

This weekend, there are two opportunities to see a great Fleetwood Mac tribute band at The Lamp Theatre in Irwin. The five-piece act has a quarter-century of experience making music, and they bring all of their talents to playing classic hits by the band that brought us “Don’t Stop” and “Go Your Own Way.”

Shows will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin. Tickets are $45. To get yours, visit lamptheatre.org.
