Bethlehem Project to celebrate 25th anniversary with gala
The Bethlehem Project will celebrate its 25th anniversary of fighting homelessness in central Westmoreland County during a gala on Sept. 20 at Rizzo’s Malabar Inn in Crabtree.
The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday.
The project is a nonprofit housing ministry of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Parish in Greensburg that provides emergency shelter and rental assistance to individuals and families in danger of homelessness.
Bishop Larry J. Kulick will be the guest of honor at the event, which will include a buffet dinner, silent auction, basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing and brief program celebrating the project’s work.
A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. when doors open for attendees to peruse the silent auction items, including a gourmet meal, Penguins hockey evening, Farm to Table Experience and designer purse.
Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets for the event are $75 per person. They can be purchased through the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Parish office by cash or check, with checks payable to the Bethlehem Project. They should be mailed to the parish office at 300 N. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601.
Since its formation in 1998, the Bethlehem Project has helped nearly 3,000 families and individuals by providing nearly $1 million for housing needs.
