This sounds like a winning combination at Live! Casino Pittsburgh — a restaurant owned by Guy Fieri.

An Emmy-award winning chef, restaurateur, New York Times best-selling author and television personality, Fieri is opening American Kitchen + Bar sometime this year, as was first reported by the Tribune-Review.

“There is nothing like this in the region,” said Sean Sullivan, Live! Casino Pittsburgh general manager, “Guy is a well-known chef and personality, and his recipes are unbelievable. We are honored to have him. I can’t wait to dig into those nachos.”

That menu item — Fieri’s world-famous Trash Can Nachos — will be available as will Jalapeno Pig Poppers, the Bacon Mac-N-Cheese Burger, plus signature sandwiches and burgers. Desserts include dark chocolate whiskey cake and Guy’s Cheesecake Challenge made with marbled cheesecake, crushed pretzels and potato chips drizzled with hot fudge.

There also will be craft cocktails and signature drinks such as the Caliente Margarita, Tattooed Mojito and Flavortown’s Long Island. Flavortown is a mythical place, a state of mind, where fun and food meet in perfect harmony, according to the Food Network’s website.

“Pennsylvanians know great food and I’ve seen it all around the state shooting (the Food Network’s ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’) and with my own restaurants so, I couldn’t be more stoked to bring my American Kitchen + Bar to Live! Casino Pittsburgh,” Guy Fieri said in a statement. “Get on board Pittsburgh, we’re heading to Flavortown!”

Sullivan said Fieri is a “first-class restaurateur and brings an exciting level of energy to everything he does.”

Sullivan said the plan is for the casino to open the third or fourth week in November. The former vice president and general manager of the Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington County, Sullivan said partnering with Fieri makes the experience at the casino a unique one.

Fieri shares the same passion for giving back to those in need as that of the owners of the casino, the Cordish Company based in Maryland, Sullivan said.

Fieri’s restaurant will complement the Sports and Social Steel City, a family-friendly area for all-ages on the second floor — with games such as bowling, Skee-Ball, a golf simulator, darts, basketball hoops, ping pong tables and shuffleboard.

It will have a restaurant and bar, including a 45-foot television screen and a nearby banquet area.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh is a $150 million, gaming, dining and entertainment destination in Hempfield at the Westmoreland Mall and will occupy 100,000 square feet. The attraction will feature 750 slots and approximately 30 live-action table games, plus a FanDuel Sportsbook, a sports-betting platform.

The casino is hiring. Open interviews are being held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot.
