March is here, and that means spring (hopefully) will soon follow. In the meantime, here are a few ways to while away one of the last winter weekends.

Donnie Iris and the Cruisers

Local legend Donnie Iris will appear at the Palace Theatre this weekend to play his classic tunes. With songs such as “Ah! Leah!” and “Love Is Like A Rock,” Donnie Iris and the Cruisers will keep the crowd singing along and remembering the good old days.

The show will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg. Tickets for the event range from $37.50 up to $149.50. Don’t miss this chance to see one of the region’s great musicians. For tickets or more information, visit westmorelandcultural trust.org.

Spring Home and Garden Show

Get ready for spring cleaning, spring planting and spring renovations this weekend. If you’re trying to keep up with all the trends, techniques and tools for all of your indoor and outdoor needs, the Spring Home and Garden Mall Show at Westmoreland Mall is the perfect place to start.

With vendors and experts on site all weekend, you’ll find everything you need for your home as well as for any outdoor living hobbies you might enjoy. The show will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the hours that the mall is open. Westmoreland Mall is at 5256 Route 30, Hempfield. Learn more at westmorelandmall.com.

Johnny Cash tribute

Walk the line on over to the Lamp Theatre in Irwin this weekend to see A Man Named Cash, one of the country’s best Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash tributes. The act’s singer has even impressed the Johnny Cash estate. You’ll hear your favorites from throughout the long-running career of the classic country artist in this fun and faithful tribute.

The show will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin. Tickets are $33 each. Get yours at lamptheatre.org.

St. Patrick’s Day pop-up market

Hopefully you’ll have the luck of the Irish and find some gold at this vendor market at the Greensburg Arts and Civic Center. The event will feature vendors from the Southwestern Pennsylvania region selling a variety of goods, including handmade crafts, tasty treats and holiday items.

Enjoy this season of green with this community market. The fun will go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg. Learn more at westmorelandculturaltrust.org

‘Confluence’ art exhibit

Catch this exhibition of local artists before it closes March 7. “Confluence: Together and Apart” displays the work of the Pittsburgh Group, a decades-running group of female artists from the area. More than 15 artists are showing work in the exhibit.

The gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. See this show during the week if you can’t find the time this weekend. The Harlan Gallery is located in the Seton Hill Arts Center, 201 W. Otterman St., Greensburg. Visit setonhill.edu to learn more details.
