The holidays are over, and it’s time to head back to work and play. Take that New Year’s resolution to do more things for yourself seriously and head out to one of these events this weekend.

Resolution Run 5K

Speaking of resolutions, plenty of folks will be aiming to get in shape in 2025. Start your fitness journey with this Saturday’s Resolution Run (or walk, if you’re really just starting out).

The race — by Gingerbread Man Running Co. — will occur around the Keystone State Park Lake in Derry. Awards will be given out in different age groups, so bring your A-game. This is also a good chance to just take a walk and get into the rhythm of exercise with others.

Registration is $12 ahead of time, $17 day of the event. The run will start at 1 p.m. Saturday. Keep an eye on the skies; this run won’t happen in severe weather! Learn more at Gingerbread Man Running Co.’s Facebook page, facebook.com/runrun runasfastasyoucan.

Live music

Grab a few friends and head to Stone Bridge Brewing Co., 249 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. This Saturday night, they’ll have local singer-songwriter Luke Weltz playing some tunes to make your weekend evening even more fun.

Weltz is a Latrobe native and friend of Stone Bridge Brewing who plays in several local bands and has a long musical history in the region. He’ll be playing from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and the brewpub will be open another hour until 10 p.m.

Twelfth Night celebration

Maybe the holidays aren’t over yet after all! Observe the traditional Twelfth Night (or Epiphany Eve) a couple of days early with Fort Ligonier on Saturday.

The celebration will include many 18th-century staples, from merry music and delightful dancing to delicious treats and cheery spirits. There will also be the Twelfth Night Cake, of course.

Tickets are $55 for nonmembers, $45 for members. Period or evening attire are encouraged to get into the spirit of the celebration. This Twelfth Night begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at 200 S. Market St., Ligonier. Get tickets at fortligonier.org.

’90s cover band

The new year a good time to reminisce, and when it comes to music, the 1990s are always a good era on which to look back. My Own Worst 90s Band will provide the nostalgic tunes this Saturday night at The King Seat Tavern in Irwin.

Playing a variety of songs from the decade, My Own Worst 90s Band is a group of musicians passionate about their favorite music. If you feel like getting into it, throw on a flannel and head down to the tavern, 4022 Route 130, Irwin. The band will rock the place from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday. There will be a $5 cover. The show is for those 21 and over.

A Very ‘Popular’ Kids’ Party

Now something for just the kiddos. This “Wicked”-themed party at Greensburg’s Trendy Bunny Studios will add some sparkle to your child’s Sunday.

The party includes face painting, exploring the studio’s play areas, a glittery coloring craft, a bounce house and more. It’s a great chance for kids 10 and under to play, jump, create and have fun!

Tickets are $28. The party will go from from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Trendy Bunny Studios, 123 McKeon Way, Greensburg. Learn more and get tickets at thetrendybunny.com.
