New Year’s Day falls on a Monday this year, meaning those who stay up late will be ringing in 2024 on a Sunday night.
Although that may not be the day of the week that one might associate with revelry, there are more than a few places where you can usher in the New Year around Westmoreland County:
Catch a film
Movie theaters are open — both on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day — showing a variety of new films, including “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” “The Color Purple,” “Wonka,” “Ferrari,” “The Boys in the Boat,” The Iron Claw” and “Anyone But You.”
You can plan a family outing or take your partner out for date night to either the AMC ClassicWestmoreland 15 located next to Westmoreland Mall or the Latrobe 30 Theatre & Café located in the Latrobe 30 Plaza off Route 30.
The Unity theater will be showing “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and “Wonka.”
Visit a winery
