The extent of human trafficking in the local community, and how to prevent it, will be the subject of a discussion Tuesday evening in Jeannette.

Officials from the Westmoreland County Human Trafficking Task Force will be joined by the Blackburn Center to discuss the prevalence and dangers of human trafficking locally. The event is being sponsored by the Jeannette City School District.

The free event will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Jeannette High School auditorium at 800 Florida Ave.
