Loyalhanna convenience store sustains damage in fire
A convenience store in Loyalhanna Township sustained significant damage in a fire Friday night.
Saltsburg, Bell Township and New Alexandria volunteer fire departments responded to a fire at Marshall’s Market, located along Route 981, around 10:15 p.m. Friday, according to a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher.
None of the fire departments could be reached for comment as of Saturday afternoon, but the Bell Township Volunteer Fire Department posted about the incident on Facebook.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire, and the scene was cleared around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, the dispatcher said.
It is unclear when Marshall’s Market will reopen, according to a post on the market’s Facebook page.
“We have been very blessed throughout these past five years to have all of your support through so many different circumstances and things,” the post said. “Thank you all for your outpouring of prayer and support, it really means the world to us.”
