A Washington County man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Sunday in Westmoreland County.

The crash happened about 12:50 a.m. on Route 31 in East Huntingdon, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Timothy Carson.

The driver was identified as Timothy Lee Glover Jr., 28, of Roscoe.

Glover was headed west, near the intersection of Zemba Lane, when he failed to negotiate a left curve and lost control, Carson reported.

State police said the motorcycle went onto the right shoulder and traveled through three yards, hitting a utility pole, a speed limit sign and mailboxes before coming to rest in a driveway.

Carson said it’s believed Glover wasn’t using a helmet properly at the time. He was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of multiple blunt-force injuries.

Toxicology results aren’t expected to be available for several weeks, Carson said.

State police also are investigating.

Henney Funeral Home of South Park is in charge of arrangements, Carson said.
