A hit-and-run crash Friday night left a Murrysville Medic One crew member injured when a pick-up truck crossed the yellow line and struck an ambulance that was traveling on Sardis Road, near Hickory Hill Road, according to the ambulance service.

A post on the Medic One Facebook page said the unidentified crew member was taken to a local emergency room for treatment. Additional details were not immediately available.

First responders said a dark-colored, large pick-up truck crossed a double yellow line, striking the ambulance at about 8:30 p.m. and then continued to speed down the road.

A witness described the truck as dark blue or black Ford 250 or 350. It sustained damages to the driver’s side mirror, and possibly door.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Murrysville Police at 724-327-2100.
