A new event and entertainment space is slated to open this summer at Live! Casino Pittsburgh.
Located in Hempfield’s Westmoreland Mall, the 7,000-square-foot space dubbed The Venue at Live! Casino is scheduled to open in late June.
The space, which can hold up to 780 people and has an adjustable layout, can be used for corporate functions, weddings, concerts and special events.
“We are setting a new standard for all meetings and events in the region with The Venue at Live! Casino,” Sean Sullivan, the casino’s general manager, said in a news release.
“Led by a best-in-class team, this most recent investment is focused on making your experience unforgettable from the moment you step onto our property to the moment you leave.”
Casino officials originally announced the event space in December when they unveiled several new attractions, including a poker room, electronic gaming tables, a FanDuel FanCave and reconfigured high-limit room. The features are in addition to the 30 table games, 750 slot machines and restaurant and entertainment facility in the 100,000-square-foot casino.
The event space is on the second floor of the facility, near the restaurant Sports & Social Steel City, PBR Cowboy Bar and the poker room.
The space previously was used for storage and a staff dining room, both of which were moved downstairs.
