Hours after being released from jail Monday for stalking singer Lacey Sturm in Murrysville, an Ohio man was back behind bars after he showed up at the woman’s home, according to court papers.

Anthony A. Carpenter, 43, arrived at the house at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in a flat bed truck, police said. He was carrying a McDonald’s bag. A person at the house told him to leave.

Municipal police said they caught up with the truck in which Carpenter was a passenger and took him into custody. It was unclear from court papers who was behind the wheel.

He is charged with stalking, harassment and defiant trespass. During a court hearing Monday, Carpenter pleaded guilty to stalking and defiant trespass for similar allegations and was paroled after serving more than six months in jail since his arrest in May.

He was seen in the first case ringing a video doorbell and walking around the house, despite numerous “no trespassing” signs posted on the property, according to court papers. He wrote letters and emails to the singer professing his love, police said.

Judge Timothy Krieger sentenced Carpenter to up to 23 months. He was ordered to spend an additional year on probation, return to his home in Rutland, Ohio and have no contact with the Flyleaf singer, her family or her property. During a hearing Thursday, Carpenter was ordered to be detained, according to court records.

In the new case, Carpenter was denied bail and was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 17.
