Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix hits bucolic Westmoreland County roads
Members of the Greater Pittsburgh MG Club and Western Pennsylvania Triumph Association hit the roads in Westmoreland County on Thursday for the annual Countryside Tour as part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, which will be held this weekend.
The Countryside Tour, which started in 2012, left the Ramada Inn in Hempfield and traveled through Ligonier and the Laurel Highlands. It included a stop at Jamison Farm in Unity Township.
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix has been held annually since 1983. Vintage car races and a car show will be held Saturday and Sunday in Schenley Park and on the Bob O’Connor Golf Course. On Friday, the “Forbes Avenue of Speed” Race Car Parade & Display will be hosted in Squirrel Hill.
