State police reopened the right lane of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Mount Pleasant Township at 10 p.m. Sunday when a tractor trailer collided with a van just before 8 p.m., said Trooper Justin Summa.

An emergency medical helicopter landed near the turnpike to transport the driver of the van to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh, Summa said.

The driver’s condition was unknown as of 10 p.m., Summa said.

The incident is still under investigation.
