Greensburg Salem Night was the theme on Friday, the second day of Greensburg’s three-day downtown Summer in the City celebration.

Greensburg Salem School District administrators were among volunteers who took their chances in a dunk tank that raised money to benefit the Greensburg police K-9 program.

The teen Westmoreland Performing Arts troupe presented Broadway and rock numbers. The evening also featured an ice cream social and caricatures and balloon sculptures created by local artists.

The event concludes Saturday with an indoor yard sale, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the YMCA on Maple Avenue, and additional activities, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the parking lot next to the Pitt & Penn building along Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Greensburg Fire Department will display fire trucks and demonstrate search and rescue techniques with its bloodhound team.

There will be additional chances to get local officials wet for a good cause in the dunk tank.

Summer in the City is organized by the Greensburg Business and Professional Association and Greensburg Community Development Corp.
