Teenager struck by car in New Stanton

A 15-year-old girl was struck by a car in New Stanton Tuesday night, according to the New Stanton Volunteer Fire Department.

The girl was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in stable condition.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on South Center Avenue, near New Stanton Church, according to Westmoreland County 911.

State police are investigating the cause of the crash. The status of the driver could not immediately be determined.
