Thanksgiving meal in Unity American Legion for veterans

Veterans and military personnel can share a Thanksgiving meal from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion Post 982 at 158 American Legion Rd., in Unity.

The program is open to all area veterans and active-duty military personnel, including members of the Pennsylvania National Guard and the Reserves.

Pre-registration is required and a military identification is necessary for proof of service. A DD-214, a Veterans Administration card or other military identification will be accepted.

Those interested in attending can register their name and preference for a turkey dinner at the American Legion by texting or phoning 412-491-9471 or emailing inf@wcvwot.org.

The Thanksgiving dinner food share drive-through at the Legion Post is sponsored by the Westmoreland County Veterans of the War on Terror, the Westmoreland County, Veterans Motorcycle Club and the American Legion Post 982.
