Three people were reported injured in a South Huntingdon crash Saturday afternoon when a vehicle overturned and occupants were trapped inside, according to the Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety.

The accident occurred around 4:35 p.m. on Mt. Pleasant Road.

Turkeytown firefighters responded to the crash, and a landing zone was set up for helicopters to fly at least two people to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Turkeytown Fire Chief Dan Pergola could not be reached for comment Sunday.

State police at Belle Vernon investigated the crash. Additional details were not immediately available.
