Westmoreland County Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a free benefits presentation June 15 at the Norwin Elks lodge.

The 3:30 p.m. event will be held at 135 Elks Lane, Irwin (in Manor), but space is limited in the lodge’s upper dining room.

The presentation will consist of an overview of medical, compensation, pension, burial and other benefits available to veterans and their dependents. Veterans service officers will be available to answer questions.

Those planning to attend are asked to reserve a spot by calling 724-392-4555 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Those calling outside of those hours should leave a message including their name and phone number.

The presentation will conclude before 5 p.m., to accommodate those who would like remain at the lodge, at their own cost, to partake of the Elk’s Thursday dinner specials — including a spaghetti meal.
