Church News

• A Blue Christmas service for those who are mourning or find themselves depressed or anxious will be at 5 p.m. Dec. 22 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave., Greensburg. A Christmas carol sing-along and indoor bonfire will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 22. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Details: 724-837-3540 or wpcgreensburg.org.

• The churches of the Greater Latrobe Ministerial Association will sponsor a Blue Christmas service at 7 p.m. Dec. 23 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1325 Mission Road, Unity. Details: greaterlatrobeministerium@gmail.com.

Fundraiser

• Southmoreland Junior Wrestling Association will sponsor a Christmas wrestling tournament to benefit Samaritan’s Purse from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Southmoreland High School gymnasium, 2351 Route 981, East Huntingdon. Santa will make an appearance and there will be local vendors. Donations for Samaritan’s Purse will accepted.

Theater

• Westmoreland Performing Arts Professional Theatre Company will present the Steve Parsons John Popa musical version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 20 at the Palace Theater, Greensburg.
