Art

• The Greensburg Art Center will host an exhibit “In Your Wildest Dreams” Jan. 19 to March 7 at the center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield. A free reception with food and music will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19. Public welcome.

Business News

• Greensburg Business & Professional Association will sponsor a small business social from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at YWCA Westmoreland County, 424 N. Main St., Greensburg. There will be food and music by the Ethan Zawacki Jazz Duo. Reservations required: tinyurl.com/2s3aem8b.

Fundraisers

• A pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 18 at the Greensburg Masonic Center, 349 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. Menu: pancakes, waffles, sausage, fruit cup and beverage. Cost: $10; children 5 and older, $5; younger than 5, free.

• Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield, will host its annual chili/soup and bake cookoff dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at the church. Donations will be accepted.

• The Holy Name Society of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, will host an all-you-can-eat omelet breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 19 in the church social hall, 224 Summit St. Dine in or takeout. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Cost: $10; age 3 to 12, $3; younger than 3, free.

Submissions from nonprofit organizations for Briefly Speaking should be emailed to cpinto-smith@triblive.com. Include a complete address and daytime phone number. Submissions are due at least two weeks prior to the event. Each announcement is printed once; there is no fee.
