Festivals
• St. Regis Parish, Trafford, will have its community festival from 6 to 10 p.m. July 19 and 20 on the church grounds, 517 Homewood Ave. There will be food, beer, games and a DJ. Details: Guy Lucas, 412-992-1173 or glucas762@comcast.net.
• Wesley Family Services and ParentWISE will sponsor a free Family Funday Sundae Carnival from noon to 3 p.m. July 21 at Lynch Field Soccer Field, Greensburg. There will be carnival games, a basket raffle and refreshments. Suitable for families with children ages 2 to 10. Details: tinyurl.com/ypy2twyw.
Fundraisers
• Community Revitalization of West Newton will host its free Chalk the Park and Golf Ball Drop events July 20 in the borough Vine Street Park. Chalk the Park will begin at 7 p.m. Reservations required. The golf ball drop will be at 8 p.m. and the winner will receive half of the take. • Mon Valley Paws will host an outdoor fundraiser from 2 to 5 p.m. July 21 at Bloom and Brew, 100 Riverside Drive, West Newton. There will be a basket auction, food trucks and music. Pet supply donations will be accepted. Details: 724-493-8305.
• A rummage sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20 at Fairview Church of God, 2202-2206 Route 982, Mt. Pleasant Township. Lunch and baked goods will be available.
• A sandwich and salad luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20 at Heritage United Methodist Church on the Diamond, Ligonier. Menu: pulled pork sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, pasta salad, pie, pretzel salad and beverages. Dine in or takeout. Proceeds will benefit local and global missions.
Health
• An American Red Cross Blood community blood drive will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 22 at the Westmoreland History Education Center, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield. Donors will receive a voucher for one free admission to the World War II Reenactment and Encampment planned July 27 and 28 at Historic Hanna’s Town.
