Fundraisers
• Heritage Methodist Church in Ligonier will sponsor a golf outing May 16 at Ligonier Country Club, 711 Fairway Lane, Ligonier Township. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be served. The event will be a four-man scramble and the shotgun start will be at 11 a.m. There will be a basket raffle, silent auction, mulligans and a 50-50. Dinner will be at 4:30 p.m. and prizes will be awarded. Cost: $160 per golfer. includes a cart, lunch and dinner. Tickets for the dinner only are $45. Sponsorship opportunities are available. • Lincoln Heights Civic Association will have bingo from 1 to 3 p.m. April 17 at the center, 42 Millersdale Road, Hempfield. There will be 20 regular games and five quickies. Payout is 50-50. Free coffee. Cost: 25 cents for a three-card board; $1 for quickies.
Meeting
• Retirees and former employees of Commercial Bank and Trust of Pennsylvania will meet for lunch at noon April 16 at Gianelli’s II, 4816 Route 30, Unity. Reservations required: Mary Ann, 724-537-7894.
Senior Citizen News
• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will have Easter bingo at 12:15 p.m. April 14. The movie “A Question of Faith” will screened at 1 p.m. April 16. The Easter luncheon will be at 11 a.m. April 17. Registration for events and lunch required at least one day in advance. Donations are accepted for all activities. Details: 724-787-1760.
Theater
• The musical, “Godspell” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. April 18 and 19 at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg. Ticket information: westmorelandculturaltrust.org/the-palace-theatre.
Veterans News
• A veterans service officer will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 in the office of state Rep. Jill Cooper, 105 Pfeffer Road, suite 5, Washington Township. Services available will include disability and pension claims, benefit questions, assisting spouses with survivor benefits issues and applications for veterans grants. Appointments will be accepted, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments: 724-387-9113.
