Customers look around at Historic Hanna’s Town’s Antiques & Collectibles Sale on Sunday Oct. 14, 2018. It was the last day for the 45th annual season of six sales which serve as a fundraiser for the Westmoreland County Historical Society.

Classes/programs

• Events at Greensburg Hempfield Area Library, 237 S. Pennsylvania Ave.:

— 10 a.m. Saturday, Party on Sesame Street for ages 2

— 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, mini makers for ages 8-10

— 6-7:30 p.m. May 16, Oooey, Gooey, Gross and Goopy for ages 6-10

— 10 a.m. May 18, chess club for ages 8 to adult.

• Native American re-enactor portraying a Shawnee warrior of the 1700s will talk about the Shawnee culture at 7 p.m. May 15 at Bushy Run Battlefield Museum, Route 993, Penn Township. Fundraisers

• Boy Scout Troop 257 will sell hot dogs and soda at its annual fundraiser 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Busy Beaver at the Norwin Hills Shopping Center, Route 30, North Huntingdon. The price is $1.

• Historic Hanna’s Town will present its Antiques & Collectibles Sale at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield. Admission is $3 per car. Details: 724-532-1935 or westmorelandhistory.org.

• Card party hosted by Norwin Area Meals on Wheels is planned 6:30-10:30 p.m. May 23 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s social hall, Leger Road, North Huntingdon. The party will feature dinner, cards, a silent bingo, board games brought by participants, table prizes and door prizes. No tickets sold at the door. Reservations: 412-751-6283.

Special events

• Sixth annual Loyalhanna sojourn is planned 9 a.m. May 18 and will begin at Cardinal Park launch, Latrobe and continue downstream to the take out launch at Gray Wing Park, New Alexandria. Paddlers of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend. Cost: $20 and includes event insurance, shuttle transportation, refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt. Church events

• Unity in the Community Pastor’s Meeting is planned 9 a.m. Saturday in Greater Parkview Church, 103 Westminster Ave., Greensburg. Speaker: Tim Phillips. Reservations: 724-691-2925 or rtolber@comcast.net.

• All-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary’s Center, Route 981, Trauger. Cost: $6, $3 for ages 5-10; 4 and younger eat free

• Catholic Daughters of the American Court St. Florian 2240 will hold a bingo 6 p.m. May 16 in St. Florian Hall, Route 981, United. Cost: $8 includes a light lunch. There will be door prizes, 50-50 and raffle. Tickets: 724-423-4591 or 724-423-5454.
