Fundraisers
• Level Green Lions will host an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon March 22 at the Level Green Community Center, 123 Murrysville Road, Penn Township. Menu: plain, blueberry, chocolate chip, buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes, sausage and beverage. Cost: $8; children, $4. Proceeds will benefit Lions Club charities. Nonperishable food items will be collected for the Trafford Food Bank.
• Mantle House Mission Resale Store, 132 S. Water St., West Newton, will have a grand reopening celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 20 through 22. Items available include household goods, home décor, collectibles and more. Proceeds help women in need.
• The 23rd annual Westmoreland County March for Parks event will be March 29 at Twin Lakes Park, east of Greensburg. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. at the park nature center. Walkers will turn in donations and contributions. Those who turn in at least $30 will get an event T-shirt. There will be a barbecue pig roast lunch, basket raffle, music and entertainment. • Mt. Pleasant Township Lions Club and Norvelt Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 23 in Roosevelt Hall in Norvelt. Menu: pancakes, Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, sausage and breakfast beverages. Cost: $7; age 6 to 12, $3; younger than 6, free.
• A spaghetti dinner will be served from noon to 4 p.m. March 23 at St. John de La Salle Church social hall, 497 Athena Drive, Delmont. Dine in, takeout and drive-thru. Sponsored by the partner parishes of St. Mary in Export and St. John, there will be a basket raffle and 50/50. Cost: $10.
• The Disciples Hands Ministry at Greensburg Church of the Brethren will have a soup and sandwich sale from 9 a.m. to noon March 22 at the church, 554 Stanton Ave., Southwest Greensburg. Proceeds will be used to help the needy. Details: 724-834-2130.
History
• The Westmoreland History Education Center will sponsor a Women’s History Month event at 1 p.m. March 29 at the center, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield. Speaker Jessica Young will discuss “What To Wear to the Revolution: From the Inside Out.” Cost: $10; Westmoreland Historical Society members, $8. Reservations required:724-836-1800, ext. 210.
Meeting
• Golden Dome Knitting Guild will meet at 7 p.m. March 20 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 139 N. Main St., Greensburg. The program will be about double knitting in two colors.
