Fundraisers

• Community Church of Hecla, 537 Hecla Road, Mt. Pleasant Township, will host a turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. July 13 at the church. Dine in or takeout. Details and takeout orders: 724-516-0494 or 724-466-2855.

• Jeannette Knights of Columbus hosts bingo at 7 p.m. Fridays in Mersinger Hall at Ascension Church, 615 Division St. Doors open at 6 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Players younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Smoke-free venue. Food will be available and there will be a 50-50 and instant bingos. Details: 724-523-9244.

• Latrobe Area Hospital Aid Society will host its fourth annual golf outing on Aug. 17 at Glengarry Golf Links, 168 Lentz Road, Unity. Cost per player is $95 and includes greens fees and cart, small bucket of range balls, snacks and lunch. Event day activities include skills games, raffles and corn hole challenge for an additional fee. Team prizes awarded for first, second and third place winners. Sponsorships range from $50 to $2,500 with proceeds supporting projects benefitting Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. Event-day check-in begins at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shot gun start. Registration is requested by Aug. 1 via check made payable to LAHAS, and mailed to LAHAS Golf, One Mellon Way, Latrobe, PA 15650.

• Baltzer Meyer Historical Society will host a program, “The Aftermath of the Battle of Gettysburg,” from 1 to 3 p.m. July 13 at the center, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield. Ken Williams will be the speaker.

Meetings

• Golden Dome Knitting Guild will meet at 7 p.m. July 18 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 139 N. Main St., Greensburg. The program will be tips to improve colored knitting. Bring something that you made or are working on and completed chemo caps and items for Feeding the Spirit. Guests and new members welcome. Details: Lorraine, 724-836-6323.

• Level Green Seniors will meet for a catered indoor picnic at 11 a.m. July 18 at the Level Green Lions Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road. Cost for members is $10 (paid in advance); nonmembers welcome at a cost of $15. For additional details, call Mary 412-372-5422.
