When is your town hosting trick-or-treat?

Here is a listing of local dates and times for trick-or-treating in Westmoreland County.

Many towns use the same timeframe for trick-or-treating, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Those include Delmont, Export, Greensburg, Irwin, Hempfield, Ligonier Borough, Ligonier Township, Manor, Murrysville, New Alexandria (parade will line up at 5 p.m. at the fire department on Gay Street), New Stanton, North Huntingdon, North Irwin, Penn Borough, Penn Township, Scottdale, South Greensburg, Southwest Greensburg, Trafford, Unity and Washington Township.

Towns with different dates or times include:

• Blairsville, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday

• Derry Borough, 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday

• Jeannette, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday

• Latrobe, 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday

• Monessen, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday

• Mt. Pleasant Borough and Township, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday

Greensburg

The Greensburg Halloween Parade will be at noon Saturday on South Pennsylvania Avenue, followed by party for kids at Pitt + Penn parking lot.

Irwin

Downtown stores will have a trick-or-treat day from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, sponsored through the Irwin Business & Professional Association.

Irwin Borough is organizing the annual Children’s Halloween Costume Parade at 3 p.m. Saturday. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. in the Third Street parking lot. The parade will end at Mayor Dan Rose Park on Main Street. Prizes will be awarded in various categories for costumes.

Manor

The Manor recreation department is planning a Halloween dance party that is free for borough residents.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the Manor Community Room at 44 Main St.

Costumes are welcome, and there will be prizes awarded for the scariest, cutest, best group and most original. The cost for anyone who is not a resident is $10.

Monessen

Monessen city officials will host a trunk-or-treat event from 2-4 p.m. Saturday in Monessen City Park at 5 Grand Boulevard.

Murrysville

Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, 4600 Old William Penn Highway, will host a trunk-or-treat from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot. Parents and guardians are welcome to bring their costumed children. Allergy-friendly treats will be available.

Scottdale

The Halloween parade will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and will begin at Loucks Park and end at the gazebo on Pittsburgh Street.

Trick-or-Treat will begin at the conclusion of the the parade and last until 8 p.m.

Sewickley Township

The Halloween parade will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Herminie.

Parade participants are to line up at 1 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8427 at 501 Church St. The parade will end at the Herminie Fire Hall, Sewickley Street, 101 Sewickley Ave., with prizes and treats for the youngsters.

Trick-or-Treat in the township will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

South Greensburg

The South Greensburg Halloween Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheridan Avenue Playground. It will proceed along Sheridan, Ashland Street and Jamison Avenue to Poplar Street.

Southwest Greensburg

Southwest Greensburg’s Halloween Parade will start at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hutchinson Elementary School, where registration will begin at 5 p.m. The parade will end at the community’s fire station, where treat bags will be provided to registered participants.

Youngwood

Youngwood’s Halloween Parade will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday , followed by trick-or-treating until 8 p.m. Parade participants will line up at 5:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church of Youngwood, 100 Lincoln St., turning right onto Sixth Street and ending at the borough parking lot and Joan B. Derco Memorial Park.
