Two families were displaced Saturday in Quakertown after a tractor trailer crashed into their home on Route 313, borough police said.

The Coca-Cola truck drove into the twin home at 656 and 658 W. Broad St. just before 6:45 a.m. after missing a sharp turn on that part of the westbound road, police Chief Scott McElree said. No one was hurt, but the house had structural damage that required it to be temporarily condemned.

The wreck was still being investigated, McElree said, but noted there were foggy conditions and low visibility Saturday morning. It was unclear whether driver error or mechanical failures were a factor, but it is not considered a criminal matter, he said.

The displaced families were able to stay with acquaintances in the area, McElree said.
