Police in Bucks County said a deadly crash was caused by a goose flying into the head of a motorcyclist on Friday morning.

According to a report by police, a motorcyclist was riding a 2013 Harley-Davidson in the Southeastern Pennsylvania county about 9:55 a.m. Friday when a goose flew out of the nearby woods and hit the motorcyclist in the side of the head.

As a result, the motorcycle sideswiped an oncoming 2016 Chevrolet Spark, and then drove head-on into a 2022 Toyota Highlander SUV, according to the LevittownNow.com.

The intersection at the site of the fatal crash was closed down for several hours.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bucks County Rescue Squad.

A name of the victim has not been released.
