One man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in Clairton early Sunday morning, according to Allegheny County police.

Officers from local and county police departments found a group of people fighting in the road upon arrival at the 400 block of State Street just before 4 a.m. Sunday. Multiple gunshots were fired around 4:10 a.m., county police said.

One man fled the area after being shot and crashed his vehicle on State Street, police said. He died shortly after.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office identified him as Derrick Davis, 28, of McKeesport.

Two other men were injured in the shooting — one shot in the leg and the other in the arm. They were transported to local hospitals in stable condition, police said.

Police detained one person at the scene. County detectives are investing.

Anyone with information on the shooting can call the 1-833-ALL-TIPS to reach the county police tip line. Callers can remain anonymous.
