Stephen Miller, a top aide and speechwriter to President Trump, tested positive for covid-19 on Tuesday, according to NBC News correspondent Hallie Jackson.

“Over the last 5 days I have been working remotely and self-isolating, testing negative every day through yesterday. Today, I tested positive for covid-19 and am in quarantine,” Miller said in a statement.

Miller’s wife, Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary Katie Miller, tested positive for covid-19 in May.

Miller, 35, is the latest White House official to test positive for the virus, after a spate of numerous contractions that have roiled the administration in recent days, with President Trump testing positive last week.
