The 12 Days of Christmas will cost you less than half of what it did in 2019.

But you’re getting less gifts because of covid-19.

“The true cost of Christmas decreased in 2020, as this year’s index accounts for cancellations of many live performances,” PNC said on their rundown of the Christmas Price Index. “It’s a silent night at most symphonies and the lights have dimmed for many dancers this holiday season, which contributes to the year-over-year decline.”

The CPI, as the name suggests, is the current cost of the gifts given to or received from your true love in the old English Christmas carol “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” as calculated by PNC.

The CPI in 2020 is $16,168.14, but does not include days eight through 12 (eight maids-a-milking, nine ladies dancing, 10 lords-a-leaping, 11 pipers piping and 12 drummers drumming) because of covid-related issues. That is a fraction of 2019’s CPI, which was $38,993.59.

For the “Twelve Days of Christmas” gifts that are priced out, here’s a rundown:

A patridge in a pear tree: $210.18

Two turtle doves: $450.00

Three french hens: $210.00

Four calling birds: $599.96

Five gold rings: $945.00

Six geese-a-laying: $570.00

Seven swans-a-swimming: $13,125
