A North Carolina woman celebrated her 100th birthday behind bars.

No, she wasn’t arrested for wrongdoing, but rather was granted the opportunity to cross an item off her bucket list.

Ruth Bryant, in fact, said she’s never been arrested, according to Raleigh, N.C.’s NBC-affiliate news station WRAL.

The station reported that officers showed up at her assisted living center and handcuffed her, while she coyly resisted arrest by “playfully kicking at Roxbury deputies.”

“Don’t kick me; I’ve got a bad knee!” said the deputy, to which Bryant boastfully replied, “I’ve got two bad knees!”

The deputies gave Bryant a round of hugs, which she is known for around living center, and presented her with a jailhouse portrait.

Bryant later returned to her retirement community and celebrated with a party and lore of life in the big house.
