At 448 pages, some might find the Mueller report a bit too daunting to read.

That’s OK, 18 Hollywood actors will do it for you. Well, an interpretation of it.

On Monday, stars the likes of Annette Bening, Kevin Kline, John Lithgow, Alfre Woodard, Justin Long, Alyssa Milano, and Pittsburgh native Zachary Quinto assembled at the Riverside Church in New York City to perform “The Investigation: Search for the Truth in Ten Acts,” a stage production based on the report that came from special council Robert Mueller’s office.

The play, penned by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning screenwriter and playwright Robert Schenkkan, was produced — and live streamed — as a one-time event by Law Works, a group that says it’s an “advocate for bi-partisan legislation to protect our judicial institutions.”

Bening served as the narrator, while Lithgow played President Trump, and Kline played Mueller. Quinto played Trump’s lawyer Rudolph Giuliani. The cast also included Ben McKenzie, Michael Shannon, Jason Alexander, Kyra Sedgwick, Joel Grey, and Piper Perabo.

“We’ve got to try everything we can right now to educate and empower the American people to care about the Mueller report,” Milano said to NBC News. “I just think it’s amazing that all these wonderful people came together to use their voices and add to the conversation and use their platform for that purpose.” She played two roles: Trump attorney Jay Sekulow and ex White House counsel Annie Donaldson.

In addition to passages taken from the report, the play also included excerpts from news conferences and Trump’s Twitter feed. At the end, the cast read parts of the U.S. Constitution on Impeachment.
