Texas cops looking for man who allegedly divorced his wife without notifying her
Police in Texas say they are looking for a Houston-area man who apparently tried to weasel his way into a divorce without his wife’s knowledge.
Authorities say 51-year-old Paul Nixon is wanted for forging the names of his wife and a notary on official documents in what ended up being a failed attempt to cease his nuptials.

According to the New York Post, Harris County Constable Mark Herman said someone trying the stunt is uncommon.
“We rarely see something like this,” Herman told The Post. “In this particular case, the gentleman decided to go through a divorce, but the only problem is, he left his wife out of the process. And that’s a violation of the law here in Texas.”
Herman said the divorce has been nullified because of the fraudulent filing.
Once located, Nixon will be charged with felony aggravated perjury charges, The Post reported.
He faces up to 10 years if convicted.
