The Houston-area man who authorities were looking for last week under allegations that he forged his wife’s signature on divorce papers showed up to court Monday with — his new wife.
According to television station KCPR in Houston, Paul Nixon, 51, appeared at the Harris County Criminal court with not only his attorney, but a new bride.
The Houston disc jockey said he remarried once his divorce was finalized.

Nixon, who goes by the stage name DJ U-Shay, reportedly denied allegations that he forged his original wife’s signature in order to cease his previous nuptials.
His attorney said he was in Georgia last week when he found out about the allegations.
“He’s a legend here. He’s a legendary DJ here in Houston. He was actually on tour when he started receiving multiple phone calls, texts about this matter. Got on the first flight here, and came out, and we approached today for a bond,” said attorney Chaunte Sterling.

Nixon’s first wife, Edna, told authorities that Nixon was “living a double life,” adding that she never knew “we were headed to divorce.”
Edna told the station she is happy to sign real divorce papers if they are presented to her.
“He left with thousands of dollars of debt, things in my name, DJ equipment” she said. “He’s stolen from me.”
Paul Nixon is due back in court in November. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
