A woman visiting the Bronx Zoo in New York somehow climbed into the exhibit and ended up standing mere feet away from one of the adult male animals.

According to NBC News, the incident occurred Sept. 28. The woman broke into “a little dance” while the seemingly perplexed lion stared at her.

The video also shows the woman waving her hands at the lion and turning her back on the big cat.

Luckily, the animal, which is normally an apex predator in the wild, did not attack.

“That is not a smart idea. She shouldn’t be doing that,” someone in the background can be heard saying.

The Bronx Zoo didn’t immediately identify the woman, but did issue a statement:

“This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers.”
