Letter to the editor: AP hit job on Fetterman

Tribune-Review

The Associated Press article “Sen. John Fetterman raises alarms with outburst at meeting with union officials” (May 7, TribLive) was probably just another smear attempt directed at the Democratic senator. In my opinion, the article is an example of poor journalism. To base the article on two anonymous sources who did not even attend the meeting when the supposed “outburst” by Fetterman occurred strains the credibility of the AP.

I wonder what left-wing individual or group decided to put the “hit” on the left-wing senator. Maybe it is due to his support of Israel or his somewhat bipartisan behavior toward President Trump and Sen. Dave McCormick. Bipartisanship toward the opposing party must be a strong “no-no” for the leftist Democratic Party.

In the headline on the print version of the article, the Trib made sure to reference the AP, which many people believe is just a biased propaganda arm of the American left. I don’t think this relieves the Trib of the responsibility of publishing what appears to be vile, unverified trash. This article seems to align with the countless letters to the editor by extreme Trump haters accusing the president of fraud and other crimes without providing any evidence.
